Yes — text recognition can run on your own computer using the bundled OCR engines, so the captured region does not have to be uploaded for the recognition step.

It depends on the provider you choose. Online translation providers and AI endpoints require a connection. Recognition itself can run locally.

When you select an online provider, the text recognised from your selected region is sent to that provider so it can be translated, together with your language settings. Their own privacy terms then apply. Orbonis is not offline end to end when an online provider is selected.

Orbonis can talk to any OpenAI-compatible API. You enter the endpoint URL, the model name and your API key, and Orbonis uses that service for translation instead of a built-in provider.

Only if you choose a provider that requires one, such as a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Other providers can be used without supplying a key.

After purchase you receive a license key by email. Enter it once in Orbonis to activate the installation. Activation requires a short online check.

Yes. Reinstall Orbonis and enter the same key. If activation is refused after several device changes, email info@orbonis.shop and we can reset it for you.

The download is a lightweight installer. It fetches and installs the full application during setup, so the initial file stays small and you always get the current build.

Digital products are delivered immediately, so download and activation can affect eligibility. Contact support for corrupted downloads, duplicate purchases, activation failures or a product that is materially not as described. See the Refund Policy.

The $4.99 license is a ready-to-run application for everyday use. The $49.99 source package is the C# / WPF code, intended for developers who want to study or customise it. Buying the source package is not required to use Orbonis.

No. Public redistribution, resale, sublicensing and republishing — including public repositories — are not included unless separately authorised in writing.
